ATI Martial Arts Anti Abduction Skills

Yell! Hit! Run!

  • If someone approaches or tries to touch you say: “Stop. I said Stop Stop or I’ll tell!”
  • If someone grabs you Yell – “Help Help Help. I need Help!” 
  • From behind – Yell (as above) Hit – Reverse elbows and bite hands and arms and Run! 
  • From front – Yell (as above) Hit – Punch throat/nose, knee and kick the groin, scratch and poke eyes and Run! 

    Safety when at home 
  • Never open the door for a stranger or give them information. Call for mum and dad. If they are not home do not answer the door to a stranger. 
  • Do not give information over the phone to a stranger. If mum or dad are not home tell them mum or dad is in the shower and to call back later.

    General Safety Tips
  • A stranger is someone you don’t know. They can be nice and kind, well dressed and helpful, but can still be dangerous. 
  • Never go anywhere with a stranger – NEVER 
  • There are many strangers in the internet. Never give any personal information out to anyone over the internet. 
  • Never send photos or pictures of yourself to strangers by phone or internet. 
  • Do not go to public toilets on your own. 
  • If you are attacked or grabbed YELL! HIT! RUN! 
  • When walking to school or out on your own, stick to a route you have agreed on with mum or dad. 
  • Memorise your address, full name and mum/dad’s mobile for emergencies. Only give this information to police, ambulance or doctors or people you know, nor strangers.
